The university extends invitations for leading aerospace/defense organizations to participate in AD TN as a corporate member. Membership is $20,000 per organization. Benefits include:

  • Seat on Aerospace Advisory Council – An Aerospace Advisory Council, comprised of AD TN members and aerospace/defense affiliated organizations, sets AD TN’s applied research and instructional program agenda. At the annual fall council meeting, the following year’s clearinghouse agenda is set, to be put into action using a national network of universities and research institutions.
  • First Access to Research Outcomes and New Programs – Members have access to all research findings before they are published and have first rights to participate in all new AD TN programs.
  • Participation in Research – Members are encouraged to be research sites and to collaborate on the development and delivery of new programs.
  • Tuition Discounts – Members receive a ten percent discount on programs offered through the University of Tennessee’s Center for Executive Education that are a direct result of funded research through the clearinghouse.
  • Direct Access to Thought Leaders – AD TN is the center of a network of leading subject matter experts from industry, government, and academia. Members “sit at the table” with some of the best minds as they wrestle with the most important challenges facing the aerospace/defense industry.
  • Benchmarking and Validation Opportunities – Members gain exposure to best practices across both industry and government against which to evaluate their own operations and thinking. AD TN offers a low-risk, cost-effective means of validating assumptions and giving plans a reality check.
  • Access to Students – Membership provides exposure to UT’s most promising students, and vice versa. AD TN hosts sponsor-student mixers and events, invites members to speak in university classes, and facilitates student recruiting for both internships and full-time employment.
  • Complimentary Contractor’s Guide for PBL Guidebook- Five complimentary copies of AD TN’s new Contractor’s Guide for PBL guidebook will be distributed to members when it becomes available. The guidebook will mirror the DoD’s performance-based logistics guidebook– but will be targeted to contractors.
  • Whitepapers and Research Reports Authored by our faculty, these documents are available for distribution to member corporations as they become available.
  • Exclusive Access to PBL Resources WebsiteThe proprietary PBL website houses a broad range of resources for those interested in PBL.  Whitepapers on the latest thinking and experiences regarding PBL are posted here.
